Guilty pleasure

We saw the following movie trailer recently and it looked cute and pretty funny.

After all, it's a Disney film and the trailer cracked me up...

Seriously, I was totally laughing out loud and thinking okay, maybe we'll see the film.
Or not.

In fact, I wasn't really tempted, until I read a synopsis that included the following:

"A German Shepherd named Delgado (voiced by Andy Garcia) saves her and reluctantly agrees to help the lost dog get found."

We are sooo there. ;-)

(don't judge me.)

Are they captured by evil dog food makers? Does Delgado turn out to be a wicked double agent? Are their explosions? Car chases? Just a voice? Sorry Marti can't do it! Have fun, I'm waiting to see the next mob movie. How about God Father 4? Andy could be in that couldn't he? He wasn't killed off, if I remember correctly...ummmmmm...How about God Father New Beginnings! I know, Beverly Hills God Father, he tried to get out but they drew him back in!

The movie started here in Miami last Friday. I can't wait to go see it. When we first saw the trailer I cracked up!!!! It's hilarious. My birthday is coming up and I think I will indulge with that movies, a coke icy and a box of goobers. ;-)

Looks like lots of fun. I watched the preview here with my two year old, so now he wants to know what a Chihuahua is. All I can think of is, 'yo quiero Taco Bell!' (The dad of one of my former students apparently came up with that ad campaign....) Looking forward to your film review--yet another branch of the MMD media empire? ;-)

Documented proof Remember at the beginning of the year when I told you I was going to be taking a picture every day this year? I'm still doing it. Every single day. At least one picture. (Ooh! So proud of myself!) And no, I'm not delusional enough to think that I'm any kind of great photographer. But armed with my really awesome camera, I can hold my own. I thought I'd be burned out by now. I'm not. Probably for the following reasons: 1) Because I love my camera almost as much as I love my children. (Some days more. =D) 2) I feel like it's more important to document our day-to-day simple (and mostly fun) everyday life than it is to capture the posed "aren't we all just so beautiful and happy all the time" moments. Sometimes I wonder how I get myself into these situations... I do a lot of stuff. I'm not saying that in a bragging way. It's just the nature of the way my life is structured. And I'm grateful that I have the time (and the fabulous husband who indulges me) to do all the things I do. Usually you'll find me here at home in my Suburban Cuban-American Bubble, cooking Cuban food and writing about it, or pining away over Andy Garcia (=D), or most recently, confessing my never-ending love and devotion to Desi Arnaz Jr. (sigh) I can be found homeschooling my kids or driving them around to various events. Or doing creative stuff. But tonight, I will be stepping out of my comfort zone just a bit. I'll be co-hosting the Babalú Radio Hour with George "Pitbull" Moneo and Reinier "El Gusano" Potts this evening. Both of them are absolutely brilliant and I confess that I'm intimidated by...
