Okay, so I'm feeling a little bit guilty because I haven't been blogging lately. (shut up. I know.)
But frankly, I haven't been near a computer and I'm still up to my (Royal Shakespearean!) eyeballs in costumes and sets.
And there are still two more performances before I can breathe again (at least for a moment before I have to dress twenty-two Oompa-Loompas, but that's not important right now).
But, you see, this guilt thing works in your favor, because in order to assuage my guilt, I'm going to have to do something nice.
So I'm giving stuff away.
Well, I was intending to give something away anyway to celebrate this, my 700th post!
(I realize that celebrating having written 700 posts by complaining that I haven't been posting just drips of irony, but that's not important right now either. =D)
1) A Cafe Cubano mug from Cuba to Go!
2) A Cocina Cubana apron also from Cuba to Go!
(because that's my online shop and I can give stuff away if I want to. =D)
To enter, just leave a comment on this post letting me know that you understand and forgive me for the lack of posting and I'll do a drawing on Wednesday afternoon. How easy is that? =D
So, until then... just talk amongst yourselves. ;-)
Dear Marta,
I can't wait until you have some more time for blogging. Think of us your faithful readers. We miss you!

So I started to say to myself last week, "Self, I miss Mari blogging and Kikita has been busy as well"(now that she is on facebook)lol :-) Then I started to get angry and said to myself,"Self, What is wrong with that woman doesn't she know that I'm waiting to hear from her?!!!!!" And then you go and humble yourself this way. You're the best!!!! And giving out free stuff too. What more can I say. Oh yea, I forgive you. LOL!!!!

You are missed but it sounds like you're on a pretty important mission. Enjoy some time away.

Martica!!!! We miss you but we totally understand. Enjoy these years of homeschooling and get some counseling right around the time you are about to get fired from it...I know I needed it!!

Don't worry; we'll all be right here when you get back. Now, go take care of business ... After all, as Willy Shakespeare said, "the play's the thing." Blog when you're ready, but make sure it's a recipe! :-D
Besos & abrazos,
Ileana

Marti,
Although there's no doubt that you are an excellent multi-tasker, I'm sure that we are willing to wait (not too long please!!!)... first things first ... what an accomplishment in itself ... 700 posts!... Congratulations! ... and while we look forward to many more ... we can always go back and re-read your treasured memories.
I wish you well :) Melek

Falling, like dew, upon a thought, produces

Free stuff eh? You need to reach these blogging milestones more often. I like the way you think. Using a classic capitalist tactic of giving away free stuff to weave loyalty and consistency into your readers. If you give stuff away at random blogging intervals, I imagine you'll build a broad fan-base of loyal minions hanging on your every word, waiting for their next opportunity to win. You're a genius.

I just started reading your blog and trying your tasty dishes. I'd love to win your apron and coffee mug especially since my hubby's bday is approaching and being Cuban, I know he'd love these gifts! Keep up the wonderful blog!!

Hey Marta!
How was the show? Please post some pics when you get the chance, I'd love to see them. Being wardrobe mistress for one of these plays is exhausting, just keeping track of all the costumes and accessories can make you insane. Hopefully you'll get a chance to see the play from the audience (I've watched many of my kids' plays from the wings, praying that the costumes will hold together for the next few performances!). Cherish these days, even though they seem to suck the life from you, it's sad once it's over. Aren't you glad you have all those oompa loompas to look forward to! Congratulations on your 700th blog entry, I look forward to the next 700!
Your humble minion,
Angie

Of course we do! We love you!!!
XOXO

If I was feeling creative I would write a verse the Oompa Loompas would sing, but I am feeling spent at the moment so just now you are loved! :o)

I forgive you and understand completely! I've been having a hard time as well and I'm not doing nearly as much as you on the side!!!!
I don't know if you are doing separate drawings, but if you are I'd like to participate in the one for the delantales!

There's nothing to forgive. I know you'll write when you can. It's always worth the wait. I'll pester Amy to post something while your busy with other projects. :)

Felicidades Marta! 700 posts?Wow! No worries about the blogging frequency, because coming here is like having an afternoon cafecito cubano with a bunch of friends.
And the giveaway? Great idea! That Cafe Cubano mug goes in perfect combination with my little Cuban coffee club at the office. (Yes, I have my three cups expresso coffeemaker, the can of Bustelo, the brown sugar and three little cups to light up the afternoons over here; and co-workers that email me around the given time to ask for the elixir ;)
How does that sound. Will they survive the sleepless nights due to the caffeine overdoses?
Congratulations on that milestone!

Marta,
I understand and do forgive you for not blogging. I must say I have missed your posts. I look forward everyday to "checking" in and seeing what is new.
I will be making some (guava) pastelitos in honor of your 700th post. Really!! They are oh so good (thanks for the recipe!).
Besos,
Carmela

You're completely forgiven. haha! This is great. And it would be even greater if it found its way up to this half-Cuban-all-Miamian girl living in North Carolina :/

I couldn't be so lucky as to win twice in a lifetime, but I did want to say that I appreciate you taking time out of your hectic schedule to help me out with those Seussical pictures. I'll be talking to you soon.

Don't put me in the drawing because I won such a fabulous prize last time! I just want to say that I understand your not having time to blog -- but hope that you will sacrifice sleeping, eating and bathing in the future to avoid disappointing your readers!
