As this new year begins I am coming back here to my blog thinking:
"my God! I don't have one original thought left in my brain."
Yes, I say it in a voice 12 octaves higher than my own tinged with panic. (And of course, being the good Cuban woman I am, I feel a high sense of responsibility and guilt, but that's not important right now.)
Or could it just be that my creative juices are elsewhere occupied?
Can you guess what else (besides panicking about the originality of my thoughts) I'm doing?
You're remodeling your house into the Wonka palace?! Is there no limit to your talents?!

Because someone in your family will be in an upcoming production of Willy Wonka? (I say this because my children's theater will be putting this show on in the spring)

DING! DING! DING! You guessed correctly!
Contrary to popular belief, I'm not remodeling my home into a Wonka palace - although I kind of like that idea...
Actually, my son, Jonathan will be playing Willy Wonka (she said with undisguised pride in her voice).
Besos,
Marta

Congratulations, Marta! We seem to live parallel lives...my son will be playing the lead in The Fort Lauderdale Children Theater's production of Les Miserables in March (he's Jean Valjean...also with undisguised pride!). The spring show will be Willy Wonka. I can't wait, that one will be such fun to do! Are you the stage manager or something?
