Seventeen

She is completely present when she speaks to you. That is, unless she's spacing out.

She has lots of great ideas. But isn't always willing to share them.

She is beautifully feminine. And yet, she holds her own with the big boys.

She wants to do everything, go everywhere, experience it all! Except for when she just wants to be left alone, thankyouverymuch.

She plays the piano beautifully and with incredible ease. Unless she chooses to rock out on the electric guitar.

She's smart and completely driven. But sometimes she is not sure exactly what she wants.

She's articulate and a brilliant communicator. Yet is just as comfortable and fluent in Lolcat speak. ("I can has cheez burger?"  ;-)

This amazingly enigmatic creature is seventeen years old today.

Mrs. Eric Darby I have had the happy privilege of being Mrs. Eric Darby for the past 18 years now. We got married on August 8th, 1992. Some of our anniversary celebrations have been simple. I cook, the kids toast us, we kiss. A good time was had by all. On a few of our anniversaries we've managed to escape for a weekend. This year, we planned our vacation to coincide with our anniversary. Eric made super-top-secret plans to take me somewhere. "You have to dress up" being the only clue he would give me. We spent a fabulous day on the beach with Lucy and Jon. Link Love I've been blogging here at MBFCF for almost four years (Wow! That's like high school!) now. I love blogging as an a creative outlet. Not only because it's my blog and I can write pretty much whatever I want, but also because I get feedback. And for the most part, that feedback is positive, which makes me happy.
