Living in Southern California, it's sometimes difficult to find Cubans living nearby. Which is why I'm super delighted to be involved in this year's LA Cuban Festival. It's the very best place to celebrate all the things that we love most about being Cuban.
It's a wonderful event bringing together our people for a fun day of Cubania. There will be food, music, and all things Cuban. This pleases me greatly, because, as you know, I am always looking for the best places to get Cuban food in So Cal (but that's not important right now).
I'll be there with my family and my extended LA Cuban Family: the guys from Wassup En LA, the folks from Cuban Heritage Day at Dodger Stadium, and many more.
The LA Cuban Festival will be held at
Rainbow Lagoon Park in Long Beach, California, on Sunday, July 13th, 2014 from 10:00am to 8:00pm.
If you haven't yet bought your tickets, I'd like to offer you some! If you'd like to go ahead and purchase pre-sale tickets on your own, please visit Fiestalegre Promotions.

I would love to go! I live about two hours southeast of Tucson and have had Cuban food only twice at a now-closed Tucson restaurant. I still drool from the memory.
And the music? Nothing better. Just knowing there is a Cuban Festival makes me feel happy.

I would love to go with the hubby to the Cuban festival this year! We live in the mountains of San Diego on our little ranch with goats, burritos (not the eating kind!), Pedro & Panchito, piggies, Emeril & Tommy, turkey girl, Lilly and many more! They are all pets, not for eating which comes to the subject of some Cuban food -- there is none in San Diego! not real authentic anyway....I miss it so much! it's a struggle to even find a pig leg to cook for noche buena. We try to get up to Porto's in Downey on special occasions, but it's a good 3 hr drive. Please help us to get to be with our gente and the food, food, please!

Hi Marta! I live in West Covina and am a Miami transport. The closest Cuban restaurant to us is Coco Palms in Pamona. Although, they opened a Coco Palms Express at the West Covina Mall food court! Not as much of a variety, but at least we could get our lechon, moros y maduro fix. Oh, and dozens and dozens of croquetas...because, of course!
I've never been to the LA Cuban Festival and would so love to win tickets. I really miss the unity and Cubanaseo.

I live in Camarillo and no, there is no Cuban restaurant in my town. I use to find plenty of them in Florida when I visited my parents, but don't know where to go around here. I would love to attend the festival and try some great authentic Cuban food!

Hi! I live in Glendale. At one time, many years ago, there was a large Cuban community here. Now, Cubans have moved away and it's become little Armenia. Thank God we still have Portos, where I can still see my Cuban people. There is a good Cuban restaurant called La Cubana, it's changed locations throughout the years, it re-opened recently and it's very good. There are other Cuban restaurants in North Hollywood and nearby cities. I look forward to Cuban festivals, since as you know, we don't have too many. Love to get together with the Cuban community. Thanks! Laura

I live in Lake Elsinore and I'm lucky to be close to the awesomeness that is Havana Kitchen. Best Cuban sandwich in all of Cali! (Sorry Portos) there's also a new place called Cuban Hut in Temecula. The yuca fries and mojo are bomb!
